lyrics
RETURN OF THE SPACE MARTYR
Destroyed, shredded
I no longer have a face
Endless universe
Doesn't allow no second chance
The biggest mistake
Was to keep me alive
Survivor of the black hole
I am the nemesis of God
Looking for a new host
Quantum golem
Slowly gathering my limbs
Opportunistic parasite
Travelling at speed of light
The biggest mistake
Was to keep me alive
Survivor of the black hole
I am the nemesis of God
Looking for a new host
A new man is born
Free from his prison
A spatial demon
In search of a new home
Event horizon
Space martyr
Vendetta from the grave
I just need a new host
Possession of a new corpse
I will put to an end
The realm of mankind
Slowly waiting for my time
Death to mankind
Return of the space martyr

What a beautiful, haunting experience all around, always melts me from start to finish. Incredible and deep sound, amazing atmosphere and cohesion, unexpected jazz elements unlike anything I've heard, and don't get me started on the vocals. Really hard to choose a favorite track. dan-rod
A fantastic debut showing from Baltimore metal band Born of Plagues, uniting post-metal's expansive textures with sludge's almighty muck. Bandcamp New & Notable May 19, 2021
More cathartic, atmospheric heaviness from the German doom metallers, balancing no-nonsense hooks with proggy flourishes. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 14, 2023
